Anyone who has the pleasure of living with a dog, will know that each dog is completely individual. Even litter mates don't always share similar personalities and it's working with this individuality, which will bring out the best in your dog's behaviour.
As an experienced dog trainer, dog walker and pack leader at the doggy day care I run, my training technique works to lay a foundation of trust with your dog. By taking time to understand what they are trying to communicate to us, we are able to form a bond of mutual respect, trust and love.
Dog's speak a different language to us, and unfortunately many humans don't take the time to learn this language. This is where misunderstanding and frustration start to develop between dog and dog guardian. By learning the subtle signs and signals that dogs use to communicate, we are able to better support, protect and care for them, and this will ultimately lead to a happier and more emotionally and mentally balanced dog.
There are many labels, dog trainers use to describe their training technique, ie. Balanced, force free, dominance, but my specific training technique takes a more holistic approach.
During a training session with me, we will work together, along with your dog, to gain an understanding of where he or she is mentally and emotionally right now. We will look at external factors, which may be having an adverse effect on your dog and most importantly, we will focus on improving both your dog's well being and the collective energy of the people they live with. Addressing these factors along with gently correcting negative behaviour and teaching positive behaviour, will have a profound effect on not only your dog, but on you as their guardian too, and it is the best way to develop a happy, healthy and confident dog, who is able to embrace and enjoy their life the way all dogs should.

Dog aggression and lead reactivity can be extremely stressful for both you and your dog. Dog aggression is often based in anxiety and a lack of self confidence, both in your dog and in yourself.
However, this difficult behaviour, like everything else, can be overcome and even the most reactive dogs, can go on to live a peaceful life and even develop canine friendships.

Hyperactivity in dogs is often seen as a sign that your dog is 'naughty'. In actuality, there is no such thing as a naughty dog. Unfortunately when our dogs can't get their message across to us, and when their fundamental needs are not met, they can often exhibit less than favourable behaviour.
However, with a bit of understanding, all 'naughty' behaviour can be changed for the better.
